Incredible momos at a no frills place!!! Got some steamed and some fried, chicken and beef. Also got some other fried thing- forgot what it was but it was all sooooo good!! Definitely want to come back for noodles as well!!!

First time trying momos! They were delicious and so cheap! We had the chicken momos on repeat and they were a hit. The service was average, every time we tried to order more it was hard to track down the servers which made it take a while. It was a very casual spot and great for a food tour of Queens!

The gobi manchurian alone was so good, I would order this again and again, and it's such a huge portion you have at least two servings. The dan dan noodles were alright. The dry beef was also alright (had the wrong impression that they would be hot, not hot), and the fry on the momo was ok, but since I'm not a fan of dumplings, I didn't really care for the taste. Went on a weekend night and within 10-15 minutes the restaurant went from 5-6 tables available to full, so expect to wait a while to close out your tab. Two payments options: cash & zelle.

I have never had Tibetan food before so I was very excited to try it out. We were seated promptly as we got inside and I was genuinely very surprised as the prices felt like they were too affordable for such a nice interior. - Lamb Thentuk - When I first got this dish, I expected it to be incredibly flavorful as the soup was bright red. It actually was pretty light which surprised me, but I was appreciative of how many ingredients there were. I would imagine this is a version of the American chicken noodle soup, as comfort food. I thought it was interesting that they put bell peppers in here as I didn't know those vegetables grew in Tibet. - Steamed Beef & Chive Momo - I was excited to try this dish, but it tasted like a regular dumpling minus the chives being a thicker cut. Overall, if you haven't tried Tibetan food before, would definitely recommend to go give it a try but I wouldn't expect any crazy flavor profiles that you haven't tried before.

Ever had one of those moments when you thought "Where the heck have I been?!". In a recent visit to Jackson Heights in Queens I had such a moment. I had not been in this area for a few years so I decided to go to one of my favorite old haunts: Lhasa Tibetan Restaurant. However, it was not this location that I intended to go to but rather the one that used to be a hidden gem in the back of a cell phone store. I walked to the block and...didn't recognize the building. Where there were once older shops there was now what looked like a newly renovated building with no stores in it. Thinking I had somehow gone down the wrong block, I did some googling only to learn that the OG Lhasa burned down years ago! (read about it here: https://ny.eater.com/2021/3/31/22360307/lhasa-fast-food-closes-jackson-heights) Fortunately, thanks to the Yelp app I found out it had reopened as a restaurant only a few blocks away! I stomped over there quickly and was elated to see they were now in an actual restaurant space instead of the back of a shop (though the "speakeasy" nature of that old shop always did appeal to me). The current restaurant is a very plain store front and the interior looks like they took it over from another restaurant. In the front are plenty of tables and seats (they could easily seat 20 people I think) but towards the back is a bar even though they don't serve liquor (at least, not that I saw). Still the space was luxurious compared to their old location. I ordered my usual: momos! These wonderful steamed dumplings were always a favorite of mine in the old days and I was happy to get them again. I ordered chicken and beef momos. When I got the momos home, I was elated to have them, but elation turned to slight disappointment. First, I seem to remember the momos being a tad bit larger in the past. I remember them absolutely crammed into containers where as now they just fit very comfortably in without bunching up. Also, the beef in my beef momos was undercooked. Like, RED. In the past I don't remember this being the case so I was concerned (I wound up nuking them til the meat was cooked). That said, the flavor of both momos was ON POINT. It was the same wonderful flavor and texture I remembered from years ago, and their hot sauce is no joke (I used it sparingly). So, aside from a bit of undercooked shenanigans, I was very happy to find that Lhasa had survived the fire of 2021 and it was great to taste those wonderful momos again!

Visited Lhasa Fast Food yesterday afternoon and ordered their beef + chive steamed momos ($8) and potato fried momos ($9). They were made fresh and came out after 10 minutes, with 9 dumplings per order. The beef + chive steamed momos tasted fresh and I liked how it wasn't too thick-skinned. If you love chives, get these momos because they were stuffed with it. The fried momos were more on the doughy side, but paired very well with the potato filling inside. I thought both the steamed and fried momos were delicious! Make sure to eat them hot, or else they'll get too chewy. Don't forget the hot sauce! (not too spicy, tastes similar to sriracha imo) Momo filling choices: beef beef & chive chicken chive potato

We were in the Jackson Heights area and were craving momos and we happened to be in the same block as Lhasa. Always heard great things about their food, so of course we had to try out their momos. We were pressed for time so we went in just to have momos. We went in the restaurant and it was pretty empty. We were told to sit where ever we wanted. We waited for few minutes yet no one came to take our order or even talk to us. We had to ask if anyone was going to take our order. We just ordered the fried chicken momo. After we placed our order the momos came out pretty quickly. The momos tasted great. They were fresh and very flavorful. Next time I'm around JH I need to go back to this place and try out other food.

I've been here a few times already . Very solid beef momos. Although it can't beat my favorite hole in the wall place (whose name I won't mention here for gatekeeping purposes lol), the ambience here is much cleaner and more formal compared to my usual spot for momos. I got the beef dumplings and I was a little bit disappointed it wasn't a soupy as I'd like. But it was still very good though. I also like their chow mein. Service was OK but I felt like it could be faster. Will definitely come here when I'm in with larger groups.
